Casta Diva Cosecha Miel is the flagship wine of Bodegas Gutiérrez de la Vega. Felipe Gutiérrez de la Vega is the only person in the world who has managed to create seven different Moscatel wines from a single type of grape, marketed under the brand name Casta Diva.
Cosecha Miel is made from Moscatel de Alexandria grapes that have been harvested from 40-year-old vines.
The wine is fermented gradually in barrels for 6 months, with grape distillate added slowly to stop fermentation and retain residual sugars. It is then aged for just over a year, in French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels.
Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:
- Aromas & Palate: The Casta Diva Cosecha Miel has notes of vanilla, honey, rose water, orange peel, and sweet spices.
- Pairing: This wine pairs perfectly with a classic Spanish white dessert due to its notes of honey and orange. It can also be combined with toasted almonds, cakes, and vanilla-based desserts.
