The San Clemente plot of land is the latest acquisition from Bodegas LoHer. This particular plot is 200 metres above sea level and it is located on top of a cliff, facing the sea, in the municipality of Santa Úrsula.
The plot includes the Canarian varieties Malvasía Aromática, Baboso Blanco, Marmajuelo, Vijariego Blanco, Listán Negro and Tintilla.
San Clemente Blanco Seco is made using a blend of the local grape varieties, Malvasía Aromática, Baboso Blanco, Marmajuelo and Vijariego Blanco. The wine is aged in three different ways - 30% is aged 'sur lies' in stainless steel, 40% is aged in French oak barrels, and 30% is aged in amphora with skin contact. The wine is then blended for 6 months before natural clarification. This wine is not filtered.
San Clemente Blanco has a limited production of 1600 bottles.
Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:
- Appearance & Aromas: It is a light yellow colour with crisp, citrus aromas.
- Palate: To taste, it has a refreshing acidity, with herbal, mineral and citrus flavours. Hints of salinity can also be detected. The mix of techniques and the blend of grapes have created a well balanced white wine.
- Serving Temperature & Pairing: It is best served at 12º and pairs well with rice dishes.
