An Authentic Gran Reserva Crafted for True Connoisseurs

First crafted in 2012, Mas Xarot Enoteca reflects the vision of enologist Ferran Gironès, whose intention was to create a Cava that embodies both the complexity and subtle delicacy of a true Gran Reserva.

Aged with natural cork and disgorged and labelled entirely by hand, this Cava represents artisanal craftsmanship at its finest, offering an exceptional sensory experience that showcases the depth of its long ageing process.

TASTING NOTES

  • Appearance: A brilliant golden-yellow colour, with a fine and persistent bubble that leads to a beautiful crown formation, highlighting the wine's elegance and finesse.

  • Nose: Intense aromas of ageing, with hints of pastry, toasting, and a touch of nuttiness. The complexity is remarkable, reflecting the long period it spent ageing on the lees.

  • Palate: On the palate, this Cava is dry and refined, with a smooth, integrated carbonation that adds to its overall elegance. The ageing notes are beautifully woven throughout, creating a delicious, multi-layered experience that evolves with each sip. The finish is long, leaving a lasting impression of sophisticated depth.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS

Perfect for pairing with rich and hearty dishes, the Mas Xarot Enoteca Gran Reserva shines in the following combinations:

  • Cheese & Charcuterie: Ideal with fatty cheeses like aged Manchego or blue cheese, as well as smoked meats.

  • Main Courses: Stews, game meat like venison, and hearty dishes such as braised quail with Muscatel grapes or wild boar stew.

  • Enjoy on Its Own: This Cava is equally impressive enjoyed by itself, allowing the taster to discover the layers of flavour that emerge from its extended ageing.
